Sorry No Recent Bloggs. It's been My busiest Season So Far

Again a bit of a gap in the blogg.  This has definitely been my busiest year so far and at times it has been a struggle to stay on top of everything but now the bookings are dropping off quite considerably so I'm hoping to catch up on all the tasks that have been left un done!If you do want to see what has been happening in and around Lymehurst B & B then you can always check out the  Facebook Page  http://www.facebook.com/lymehurstbandbllandudno

The Temptations Of Conwy Seed Fair

The annual Conwy Seed fair was held on the 26th of March This is when the main street is closed off and local seed and  plant producers can set up stalls to sell their wares. Local craft work, home made produce and toiletries are also there so there's plenty to look at. In the last few years the weather has ranged from being hot and sunny to cold and snowy so it was a relief when the sun decided to shine this year.....admittedly it wasn't quite shorts weather but even so very pleasant. Luckily, because I'd already served breakfast at 7.15!  (I have workmen staying) I was able to get parked up  before the  9 am start....nothing like being eager!! I usually have a walk round first to see what everybody is selling then start to do my purchasing. There was a super variety of plants  to choose from.

 Seeds & potato stall

Flower stall

Lovely hand made hand & face creams

As always I couldn't resist their amazing  milionaires shortbread

Beautifully presented sweets

Hello 2014

I seem to have got swept up into doing Facebook posts rather than the blogg. I keep hearing that  a FB page is really important for a business but it does actually take up quite a bit of time. I will try to do a catch up now but you can always see whats been going on on www.facebook.com/lymehurstbandbllandudno.

There was a super Medieval Day in Conwy in December that culminated in the Torch Lit Parade through the town. There were so many re enactment groups that at times Conwy really did look as if it had stepped back in time It was very bizarre to come out of the toilets on Conwy Quay and see two Medieval knights exiting the mens toilets!

Llandudno Christmas Fayre 2013

Just 4 minutes down the road, Madoc Street in Llandudno was closed off on Wednesday night in order for the marquees to be set up. How the guys managed to erect them I do not know as there was a gale blowing and it was bitter . Earlier on in the week we'd had horrendous hail storms so it didn't look too promising for the fayre. However by Thursday the stall holders, over a hundred, had got themselves installed and were ready to trade. When I popped down on Thursday I recognised many stall holders from previous years but there were many new stalls too.

This stall sold rings made from old silver tea spoons. It's worth checking out their website

Good warming drinks on offer
Between the marquees there was an entertainment stage so there were various entertainers to keep the crowds entertained

Womens chior  proved popular

Playing a dulcimer

A duo playing folk songs

There was certainly a good selection of products being sold.
